Medication which inhibits angiotensin-converting enzyme (ACE) are known as ACE inhibitors. They are used primarily in treatment of congestive heart failure or hypertension. They prevent the angiotensin converting enzyme (ACE) from producing angiotensin II, thereby reducing the occurrence of malignant cardiac arrhythmias.
