The term "Russian Revolution" is the collective term for the series of revolutions which took place in 1917 which ultimately brought down the Tsar and the autocracy which was tsarism. These revolutions led to the creation of the Soviet Union. The individual revolutions include the Bolshevik, February, and October revolutions, as well as the "Red and White civil war.
