Russell Brand, the British comedian and actor was born June 4, 1975 in Grays, Essex, England. An only child, he was raised by a single mother from the age of six months. His mother was diagnosed with uterine cancer and a year later, with breast cancer. Russell suffered from bulimia when he was 14 and left home at 16. He is a recovering alcoholic and drug addict, and is a vegan. He married singer Katy Perry in October of 2010, and he filed for divorce in December 2011. He has been in a relationship with Laura Gallacher, a model, since 2015, and they are expecting a baby in late 2016.
