Lynda Carter was born July 24, 1951 in Phoenix, Arizona. She was Miss World USA in 1972, but she is probably most famous for her role as Wonder Woman on the series which aired from 1977 to 1979, was Miss World USA in 1972. She has twice been married, first to talent agent Ron Samuels, from 1977 to 1982, and to attorney Robert Altman from 1984 until the present. They have two children and live in Potomac, Maryland. She is an advocate for Irritable Bowel Syndrome and is a recovering alcoholic with more than 14 years of sobriety.
