Born March 19, 1947 in Greenwich, Connecticut to a father who ran a clinic in the Belgian Congo and a full-time mom, actress Glenn Close began her career in 1974, and soon stepped into “The World According to Garp” in a supporting role. She has been nominated for Oscars six times. She has been married three times and has a daughter from a relationship in between marriages. An avid dog lover, she built up a company and website, FetchDog, which sold high-end dog accessories and featured a blog where she interviewed famous people and their relationships with their dogs. She sold the business and domain in June of 2012 for an undisclosed amount.
