Craig Ferguson, born May 17, 1962 in Scotland, visited an uncle in New York, and he moved back to New York City in 1983. He is a recovering alcoholic and he was about to commit suicide on Christmas 1991, but was distracted by a friend with a bottle of alcohol. In 2008, he became an American citizen. He has been married thrice and has two children and lives in Los Angeles.
