Kid Rock, born Robert Ritchie on January 17, 1971 in Romeo, Michigan, is a hip hop and rap artist. He ran away from home at the age of 15 and sold drugs for a local drug gang before beginning his musical career, signing his first record contract at the age of 17. He was married to actress Pamela Anderson for five months, divorcing when they could not resolve Kid’s wish to live in Detroit with Pamela’s preference, staying in Los Angeles. He has been arrested numerous times on alcohol-related charges and assaults, one of which was on Pamela’s first husband, Tommy Lee at the MTV Video Music Awards.
