On September 16, 1971, Amy Poehler was born in Newton, Massachusetts was born to two school teachers. When she graduated from Boston College with a degree in media and communications, she moved to Chicago where she joined Second City with her friend Tina Fey. Together, they moved to New York City to work on Saturday Night Live. She married Canadian Will Arnett and they have two children. In 2012, they announced that they were divorcing.
