The island of Guernsey is situated within the Gulf of St. Malo, thirty miles west of the Normandy coast of France and seventy-five miles south of Weymouth, England. The size of the island is approximately twenty-four square miles, or sixty-three square kilometers), and is the largest island in the Bailiwick of Guernsey. It is divided into ten parishes.
