The Valencian Community, whose official name is Comunitat Valenciana, is an autonomous community located in central southeastern Spain, divided into three provinces, including Alicante, Valencia and Casellon. The origins of the present day Valencia reach back to the former Kingdom of Valencia, which began in the 13th century.
