The Legislative Branch is the one of three branches of the government of the United States, and are co-equal with the Executive and Judicial Branches. This branch is made up primarily of the House of Representatives and the Senate, which are collectively known as Congress. Additionally, most entities within the federal government which are designated as “office” -- such as the Government Printing Office and the Government Accountability Office -- are part of the Legislative Branch.
