The city of Trussville is situated in both Jefferson and St. Clair counties in Alabama. After the Creek War, when the land was surrendered in 1814, settlers poured into this part of Alabama, among them one Warren Truss from North Carolina. Truss built a mill which employed many of the new residents, and the settlement was called Truss. It was incorporated in 1947 and in 1985, the city tripled its land mass by annexation.
