Alhambra, a city in California's San Gabriel Valley, is approximately eight miles from Los Angeles, is named for a book written by Washington Irving entitled "Tales from the Alhambra." Clive Cussler, Phil Spector, Norman Rockwell, and Cheryl Tiegs are all former residents of the city.
