Also known as City of Angels, Angels Camp is the only incorporated city in the County of Calaveras. Mark Twain's "The Celebrated Jumping Frog of Calaveras County" is based on an event commemorated with a Jumping Frog Jubilee each May at the Calaveras County Fairgrounds.
