The city of Burbank, California, is located in Los Angeles County in the eastern part of the San Fernando Valley. The name of the city is often mistaken as having been named after Luther Burbank when, in fact, it was named in honor of David Burbank, a dentist and entrepreneur from New England who was an early settler.
