Incorporated in 1882, Louisville is located roughly six miles east of Boulder and twenty-five miles northwest of Denver. Settled in 1877 and incorporated five years later, the town was platted by Louis Nawatny, who named it after himself. Louisville is part of Boulder County, Colorado.
