Lakeville is a village on Lake Wononskopomuc, within the town of Salisbury, Connecticut. Until 1846, the settlement was known as "Furnace Village", as it was the location of one of the blast furnaces that were a part of Salisbury's iron industry. Ethan Allen made munitions in Lakeville during the Revolutionary War.
