The city of Atlantic Beach, Florida, is situated in Duval County. It has its own city government, but the residents vote in the Jacksonville mayoral elections and are represented by that mayor and the Jacksonville city council. The town was just south the Mayport stop on the East Coast Railway and incorporated in 1926.
