The Illinois city of Decatur is the county seat of Macon County. Named after Stephen Decatur, Jr., a naval hero of the War of 1812, it is often called the Soybean Capital of the World, Decatur was founded in 1823 and was home to Abraham Lincoln and his family in 1830.
