Franklin Park, Illinois is an incorporated community within Cook County. kFounded by Lesser Franklin in the 1890s, it was settled mostly by German farmers. By 1880, the Atlantic & Pacific Railroad built a station on Elm Street. The village was incorporated in 1892.
