Scott is located in the heart of Cajun land and is part of Lafayette Parish in Louisiana. The town boasted a western style saloon from 1902 to 1976. The founder of the bar, Albert Bourque, coined the town slogan, "Where the West Began," to explain as to why he built a western style saloon in the South.
