Foxborough, Massachusetts is situated in Norfolk County. It was settled in 1704, incorporated in 1778, and named in honor of a colonial Whig, Charles James Fox, who stood up for the Colonies throughout his time in Parliament. Although the official spelling of the town is "Foxborough," an accepted alternate spelling, "Foxboro," is often used.
