The purpose of this portion of our guide is to highlight manufacturing and service industries in the City of Warren, Michigan.

The histories of Warren and General Motors are linked. The General Motors Technical Center is a 710-acre industrial campus built between 1949 and 1956, greatly spurring growth in the city. The GM Tech Center remains in operation.

Another early industry was the Detroit Arsenal Tank Plant in Warren. Established by Chrysler in 1940, the plant was designed as an armaments manufacturing facility during World War II, which could be turned into peaceful production at the end of the war. After the war, the plant was operated by Chrysler, and then General Dynamics, continuing to produce tanks until it was closed in 1996. The city has since repurposed a large portion of the campus, while the US Army has retained a portion of it, where the US Army CCDC Ground Control Vehicle Systems Center is housed.

Warren is also the headquarters of Asset Acceptance Capital Corporation, a publicly traded debt buyer.

Several other large, medium-sized, and small industries are also located in Warren. Manufacturing businesses of all sizes, if located in Warren, are appropriate for this category, regardless of the product.

The websites of local construction companies may also be found here, along with other contractors, such as electricians, plumbers, HVAC technicians, landscapers, housepainters, housecleaning services, and moving and storage companies.

Service industries, including web designers, graphic designers, photographers, printers, and utility companies in Warren may be found here, along with local banks, credit unions, mortgage companies, insurance agencies, accountants, actuaries, and financial consultants, as well as attorneys, law firms, and funeral homes.
