Originally a parish of Kingston, the town of Danville is in Rockingham County, New Hampshire. After separating from Kingston, it was chartered as Hawke in 1760, but was renamed in 1836, after three of its early settlers, who were named Daniel. Danville is east of Sandown, west of Kingston, and north of East Hampstead.
