Seabrook Beach is an unincorporated village in eastern Seabrook, on the Atlantic Coast, while Salisbury, Massachusetts is south of the town, and Hampton Falls and Hampton Beach are to the north. Named for the Seabrook River, Seabrook was settled in 1638, and incorporated in 1768. Among Seabrook’s early residents were Meshech Weare, who became the state’s first president in 1776, a position equivalent to that of the state’s governor.
