Waterville Valley, in Grafton County, New Hampshire, was first settled in the 1760s, and incorporated as Waterville in 1829. The name of the town was changed to Waterville Valley in 1967. Located in the middle of the White Mountain National Forest, the Mad River flows through the town, which attracts winter visitors for alpine and cross-country skiing, and hiking and other outdoor activities during the summer. Waterville Valley is south of Livermore and east of Woodstock.
