A township located within Atlantic County, New Jersey and the state's largest municipality. There are two rumored sources for the township's names, one is that is was named after a Scottish area known to be the Mull of Galloway, another theory is that is was believed to be named in honor of Loyalist delegate to the First Continental Congress Joseph Galloway. It is also the site of the historical Battle of Chestnut Neck.
