Located on Long Beach Island, the township of Long Beach is in Ocean County, New Jersey. The community is a barrier island and summer colony along the Atlantic Ocean, whose summer population is far greater than the number of permanent residents. Unincorporated communities within the township include Brant Beach, Beach Haven Crest, Beach Haven Gardens, Beach Haven Inlet, Beach Haven Park, Beach Haven Terrace, Brighton Beach, the Dunes, Haven Beach, High Bar Harbor, Holgate, Loveladies, North Beach, North Beach Haven, Peahala Park, and South Beach Haven. Most of the township’s population is north of Beach Haven and south of Ship Bottom.
