Lopatcong Township is a part of the eastern region of the Lehigh Valley in Warren County, New Jersey. Unincorporated communities within the township are Delaware Park and Lopatcong Overlook. What is now Lopatcong Township was initially created as Phillipsburg Township in 1851. When Phillipsburg was incorporated as an independent municipality, the township changed its name to Lopatcong in 1863, named for a creek in the area.
