A township in Monmouth County and one of the oldest European settlement sites. The area is a part of Bayshore Regional Strategic Plan and its popular landmark is the "Evil Clown of Middletown," a large outdoor advertisement of a Spirit Liquor Store and was originally put up to promote a grocery store named Food Circus.
