Montgomery Township, in Somerset County, New Jersey, was formed in 1798, as one of the state’s initial townships. There are several unincorporated communities within the township, including Belle Mead, Blawenburg, Bridgepoint, Dutchtown, Fairview, Harlingen, Plainville, Rocky Hill, Skillman, Stoutsburg, and Zion.
