Named for the river the flows through the borough, Saddle River is in Bergen County, New Jersey. Incorporated in 1894, the borough is bounded by the boroughs of Upper Saddle River, Woodcliff Lake, Hillsdale, Ho-Ho-Kus, Waldwick, and Allendale, as well as a small portion of Washington Township. Richard Nixon lived in Saddle River from 1981 to 1991.
