Tavistock is a borough in Camden County, and the smallest municipality in New Jersey. The borough was formed in 1921 to allow the members of the Tavistock Country Club to play golf on Sundays, since this was prohibited at the Haddon Country Club. Its secession from Haddonfield, the original site of the club, was also spurred by the fact that Haddonfield was a dry borough. Tavistock is bordered by Barrington, Haddonfield, and Lawnside. Tavistock is served by the Haddonfield post office.
