Candor, North Carolina is in Montgomery County, and home to the North Carolina Peach Festival, an annual July event. The town was chartered in 1891, before which the community was known as Cabin Creek, and later as Lamond’s Old Field. Its post office was established in 1873. Candor is located on the eastern edge of the Uwharrie National Forest, west of Eagle Springs and south of Biscoe.
