Cedar Point, North Carolina is a town in Carteret County. The town’s history goes back to 1713, when King George III issued a land grant of 2,080 acres in Western Carteret County known as Cedar Point to Thomas Lee of Virginia. In 1765, 1,040 acres were deeded to William Hill, while the remaining acres passed to William Borden. Cedar Point is north of, and across the Bogue Sound from, Bogue Banks, and across the White Oak River from Swansboro, to the west.
