The North Carolina town of Cherokee, in Swain County, is the headquarters for the Eastern Band of the Cherokee Indians, and a tourist destination. It is located at the entrance to the Great Smoky Mountains National Park and the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway, as well as home to Harrahs Cherokee Casino.
