Mountain, a city in Pembina County, North Dakota, is known for having been the destination for many Icelandic immigrants, who arrived around 1914, and as a destination for visitors from Iceland. Mountain was founded in 1884. Mountain is southeast of the Cavalier Air Force Station and southwest of Icelandic State Park, and the city of Cavalier.
