North Ridgeville, Ohio is a city in eastern Lorain County, just west of Cleveland. The community was first settled in May of 1810 by people who came from Connecticut. The township was organized in 1813, and known as Ridgeville Township until 1958, when it was incorporated as a village, although its post office became known as North Ridgeville in 1829. In 1960, North Ridgeville became a city.
