Gladstone is located in Clackamas County, Oregon, at the confluence of the Clackamas and Williamette rivers. Gladstone was founded by Judge Harvey Cross in the late 19th century, and incorporated as a city in 1911. The city was named for Prime Minister William Ewart Gladstone of England.
