Donalds is a small town in northern Abbeville County, South Carolina. Originally known as Boonesborough Township, the town was founded as a trading post on the South Carolina frontier in 1763. Among the first settlers that founded the township were a distinguished family of Ulster Scots by the name of Donnald, who later lent their name to the town.
