Marble Falls, a city in Burnet County, Texas, is a suburb of Austin. In 1854, General Adam "Stovepipe" Johnson saw the natural marble falls of Lake Marble Falls and after he lost his eyesight in a Civil War battle, moved to the area and started land investment company. It was founded in 1887 after lots were offered by the company.
