One of the five foundational books of Confucianism, the I Ching has become quite popular in New Age philosophies. Traditionally, the I Ching is a Chinese system of divination that involves tossing three identical coins or objects six times, and using the patterns they form to receive answers to personal questions from the I Ching, also known as the Book of Changes.
