Born January 17, 1962 in Newmarket, Ontario, Jim Carrey dropped out of high school when he was 15 in order to help support his family after his father lost his job. He first saw fame in his involvement with “In Living Color.” He soon got starring roles in “Ace Ventura: Pet Detective,” “Dumb and Dumber,” and “The Mask.” He has played the Grinch and a host of other feature films. He was diagnosed with ADHD as an adult. He became a United States citizen in 2004 and holds dual citizenship with Canada. He has been married twice and has one daughter, Jane Erin Carrey, from his first marriage. She made him a grandfather in February of 2010.
