British musician David Gilmour was born March 6, 1946 in Cambridge, England. He is probably most famous for his guitar and vocal work with Pink Floyd. He later became a very successful solo artist. He is a pilot and owns an aviation company and is also an avowed atheist. He has been married twice and has eight children.
