Singer-songwriter Gordon Lightfoot was born in Orillia, Ontario, Canada on November 17, 1938. He left Canada for California when he was 20 but became homesick and returned to Toronto two years later. A few years later, he moved to the United Kingdom where he hosted the BBC's "Country and Western Show" but returned as soon as that was over. On December 19, 2015, he married his third wife, Kim Hasse. He has two children from his first wife and two from his second wife.
