This part of our web guide focuses on churches, ministries, and other places of worship in Haddington, Scotland.

One of the most prominent landmarks in Haddington is Saint Mary's Collegiate Church, also known as the Lamp of Lothian. Founded in 1380, St. Mary's is the longest parish church in Scotland, stretching 206 feet from east to west. Its history is marked by periods of construction, destruction, and restoration. The structure was largely destroyed during the 1548 Siege of Haddington, but repaired for John Knox and the Reformers in 1561. The structure's nave, transepts, and choir were restored in the 1970s. As part of the Church of Scotland, St. Mary's remains a hub of Christian worship today.

Another historically significant church in Haddington is Holy Trinity Church. Built in 1770 on the site of the original "Lamp of Lothian," its present chancel was added, and the interior was remodelled in a neo-Byzantine style in 1930. Affiliated with the Scottish Episcopal Church, Holy Trinity offers a range of services, including the Eucharist, family services, and evening prayer.

Haddington Community Church, a Free Church of Scotland congregation, promises a warm and inclusive environment. One of the newer churches in Haddington, the congregation meets at the Town House on High Street.

Haddington is home to several other congregations, including Haddington Elim Church, Haddington Family Church, Haddington West Parish Church, Saint John's Free Church, Saint Mary's Roman Catholic Church, Haddington Family Church, and congregations of the Church of Christ, Jehovah's Witnesses, and the Religious Society of Friends.

These and any other places of worship in Haddington are appropriate for this category, regardless of the religion, denomination, or sect.
