Public education in Perth, Scotland is managed by the Perth and Kinross Council, which is headquartered in the town of Perth.

There are several primary and secondary schools in Perth, including Perth Academy, Perth Grammar School, Perth High School, St. John's Academy, and Bertha Park High School.

Perth Academy may be the oldest school in Scotland. Its origins can be traced to a grammar school established in the 12th century by the Benedictine monks of Dunfermline Abbey. It has since absorbed other institutions in Perth. Until 1971, it was a selective senior secondary school serving a large catchment area. Since 1971, it has become a comprehensive school serving all pupils within a smaller catchment area. It shares a campus with Viewlands Primary School and Fairview Special School.

Perth Grammar School is in the Muirton district of Perth. Although a school by that name was founded in the 12th century, the modern Perth Grammar School came about in 1970, opening in 1971, occupying the site of the former Perth High School, which had moved to another area.

Perth High School is a comprehensive secondary school established in 1950, moving to its current location in 1971, occupying a four-story building.

St. John's Academy is a Roman Catholic school that opened in 2010 as a result of the merger of St. John's Primary School and St. Columba's High School.

Bertha Park High School is a non-denominational secondary school that opened in 2019. It is located on the northern outskirts of Perth.

Glenalmond College is a co-educational independent boarding school enrolling children aged from 12 to 18.

Sharing a campus with Perth Academy and Fairview School, Viewlands Primary School was built in 1942. With fourteen primary classes and a nursery class capable of accommodating up to 24 children at any one time, it also features additional rooms and spaces, as well as an extensive playground area.

Higher education is available in Perth through Perth College UHI, a campus of the University of the Highlands and Islands, which has a main campus and a network of learning centres throughout the area.
