The city of Redlands is located in San Bernardino County, California. In 1851, the first Anglo settlers, several hundred of them, showed up in the area, having bought Rancho San Bernardino. These Mormon pioneers founded the city and remained in the area until 1857 when Brigham Young recalled them to Utah just before the Utah War. It was incorporated in 1888.
