Woodland Hills is in the southwestern part of the San Fernando Valley, west of Tarzana, California. Now a district within the city of Los Angeles, Woodland Hills was established in 1922 as Girard, named after its founder, Victor Girard Kleinberger, but was renamed in 1941.
