The City of Ouray is a Home Rule Municipality and seat of Ouray County, Colorado. Ouray is known as the Switzerland of America due to its setting at the narrow head of a valley, enclosed on three and a half sides by steep mountains. Initially a gold and silver mining town, its current economy is based on tourism.
